Animal Friends
Last Splash of Summer 2009!
Sandcastle Waterpark
1000 Sandcastle Drive in
West Homestead, PA
Don’t miss Animal Friends’ fifth annual Last Splash event—the ultimate canine pool party—on Saturday, September 12! Each year before the pools are drained for the summer, Sandcastle Water Park throws open its gates and, for one day only, opens the wave pool to dogs for Animal Friends’ Last Splash of Summer event. Whether your dog fancies a string bikini or prefers to skinny dip, this is a highly-anticipated and fun event for pooches and their people.
Hot dogs will find cool relief splashing around in the pool and feasting on chicken-flavored snow cones. Enjoy fun games, raffles and auctions. Space is limited, and this event always sells out in advance, so buy your tickets online now on our website.
Dogs must be non-aggressive, over four months of age, current on shots and wearing an identification tag. Owners must accompany their dogs at all times and keep dogs leashed while outside of the pool. The swimming fun is exclusively for the canine crowd; humans are permitted in the pool only up to their knees. Animal Friends strongly recommends that all canine guests be spayed or neutered. If your dog is “in heat,” please leave her at home. Admission is $25 per dog (humans are free) and all proceeds benefit Animal Friends. For more info, pls visit http://www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org/site/PageServer

First Presbyterian Community Pet Expo & Blessing
EBERHART GROVE PARK
West Chester, PA 19382
Please bring your pets for a blessing and also it will be a day filled with fun with the animals. There will be community groups, vendors and community. You may just meet your next best friend from one of the shelter/rescues who will be there.
We are excited to be part of the Second Annual Pennsylvania Week for the Animals.
Our goal is to offer the opportunity for pet lovers in the West Chester area to get together to celebrate the blessing that pets are in our lives.
In addition to the blessing, we will be providing lots of useful information about what is available for pet owners in our area. We’d also like to highlight the many pets in our area that are in need of a permanent, loving home.
Donation Needs:
Dog and Cat Treats – can be dropped off at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall now through September 13 – any unused donations will be given to local animal shelters.
Volunteer Needs:
Poster distribution – hang posters about the event at your own business or local stores, parks, and other locations.
Flyer distribution – help distribute flyers in your neighborhood or the First Pres neighborhood.
Help at the Blessing – we’ll need lots of help registering pets, handing out treats, judging contests, and helping out vendors.
If you can help in any way, please contact Mary Hambleton at 610-696-0554 or mhambleton@firstpreswc.com We hope you’ll bring out your pet and join us for this special afternoon. And if you don’t have a pet, this is still for you! There will be many rescues represented that can tell you more about adopting a pet, and you may even meet a special friend to take home that day.
So bring your furry, fuzzy, slimy, and cuddly family members and join us! If your pet wouldn’t be comfortable at the park, bring their picture and we’ll bless them that way!
We hope to make this an annual event where we can come together as a community to celebrate God’s furry creatures!

Itty Bitty Kitty, Inc. 1st Hawaiian Luau
Itty Bitty Kitty, Inc.
P.O. Box 90628
Allentown, PA 18109
Itty Bitty is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, stray and unwanted cats or kittens. We are a small but dedicated group of volunteers looking to put an end to the stray cat population. We provide safe and secure foster homes for abused, homeless and sometimes unwanted cats and kittens until they find their forever home. We find that Purrfect Match everytime.
In addition to helping find homes for the stray cats and kittens, we also help our community by educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering.
